The Itinerary
Moab, in southeastern Utah, is the perfect base for two national parks: Arches (2,000+ red sandstone arches) and Canyonlands (giant canyons carved by the Colorado and Green rivers).
Delicate Arch (5-km trail), Landscape Arch (the world's longest, 88 m), Double Arch, Window Section are Arches classics. Mesa Arch at sunrise and Grand View Point in Canyonlands. Dead Horse Point State Park, between them, offers one of America's finest views. Activities: MTB (Slickrock Trail), 4x4 and Colorado River rafting.
