Mount Rainier (4,392 m), an iconic stratovolcano, dominates Seattle on clear days. The national park protects a permanently glaciated summit, 26 glaciers and subalpine meadows blooming in July–August.
Paradise (1,645 m) is the main visitor centre with easy Skyline Trail (8 km) through flowering meadows. Sunrise (2,010 m), open June–Oct, is the highest point accessible by car. Reflection Lakes for the iconic photo. Christine Falls and Narada Falls are signature waterfalls. Combine with Crystal Mountain (gondola).
