Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest and Land Between the Lakes offer 1.4 million acres of public land for hunting, fishing, camping and hiking in the Appalachian foothills and river lowlands. The state is known for excellent deer hunting, smallmouth bass fishing and primitive camping on forest roads.
