The Itinerary
Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon on the Navajo Nation near Page (Arizona), is the world's most photographed canyon. Sunbeams piercing the sandstone walls create striking light shafts at midday in summer.
Upper Antelope Canyon is more accessible (vertical walls). Lower Antelope Canyon is longer and more atmospheric (ladders to descend). Navajo guide required. 10 min away, Horseshoe Bend — Colorado River horseshoe meander, 300 m deep, viewed from a lookout. Combine with Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell.
